Riding the wave of Japan’s postwar private-sector growth in the 1950s, the company achieved success in expanding its business by handling much sought-after products of the era, beginning with the export of large volumes of cotton fabrics to Burma in the 1950s, export of synthetic textiles in the 1960s, bus and truck tires in the 1970s and 1980s, and household electronics, cut and polished diamonds, and ready-to wear garments in the mid-1980s. Seizing this opportunity, we established and founded the company in December 1993. Later in the post-bubble era of 1990s Japan, the company began doing business with major chemical manufacturers such as Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. and Mitsui Chemicals, Inc., becoming their major partners in the development of trade between Japan and India. At the same time, with the sharp appreciation of the yen, we began importing work gloves produced in India for sales to Japanese dealers and end users.

In 2024, with the re-branding of the company, East West Corporation is once again expanding its activities as a general trading company.The Tokyo office was opened in August 2024, and recruitments are picking up to keep pace with the company’s growth.
